WESSELING / LYONDELLBASELL

Since 1998, Karl Schmidt Spedition operate two logistics centers and a container warehouse at the Basell Polyolefine site. A wide variety of plastic granulates is processed, predominantly polypropylenes and polyethylenes, which are produced in LyondellBasell’s production facilities and conveyed in bulk to the logistics centers.

The logistics centers (PPP / PPC) can handle production volumes of 500,000 t p.a. both in bulk and in packaged form. The facilities are equipped with 91 silos for bulk goods (capacity 22,750 tons) and areas for storing palletized bagged goods in indoor and outdoor warehouses with a capacity of 28,000 tons. Both logistics centers are equipped with two bagging and palletizing lines each (rated capacity 40 t/h per bagging machine / pallet machine).
