BELGIUM / INEOS STYROLUTION

In 2003, SCHMIDT planned and constructed a logistics facility on the premises of the BASF plant and since 2004 are handling logistics for this plant on behalf of the customer. By 2007, this logistics complex had expanded to a total of 110 silos after several construction phases. An approximate 550,000 tons p.a. of the products ABS, Polystyrol and Styrolux are conveyed directly from the production plant via a feeder line into storage silos, subsequently to be bagged or to be loaded as bulk into road tankers and container trucks to be transshipped to production sites.
