As early as 1967, SCHMIDT opened a subsidiary at Langweid-Foret near Augsburg in southern Germany with their own railway siding to provide services to this region’s chemical industry.
A fleet of road tankers effecting both national and international transports is based at Langweid-Foret. Providing their own cleaning facilities, a container terminal, a silo battery and warehousing facilities, the Langweid-Foret subsidiary represents an important member within the SCHMIDT group of companies.
