SUBSIDIARY BELGIUM WOMMELGEM
In 1971 the first subsidiary outside of Germany was founded in Wommelgem near Antwerp, Belgium. Initial target of this subsidiary was to improve the provision of return freight for SCHMIDT vehicles from within the BENELUX region. Meanwhile, the SCHMIDT team at this location controls the dispatch of all domestic transports and any outbound traffic – both for silo trucks and container traffic.
The facility offers a modern silo cleaning station equipped with two state-of-the-art rinsing bays and two drying lanes each.

Quality cleaning of the inside of road tankers and silo containers manually or in cleaning stations by means of automatic spinner heads (high-pressure cleaning) with subsequent issuance of a cleaning certificate.

Diesel- and AdBlue gas station for SCHMIDT-owned and subcontractor vehicles.

Communication with costumers and vehicles to process transport and storage/warehousing orders.

The Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS) is a standard set by the European Organization for the Chemical Industry (CFIC). It serves to assess quality, safety and environmental compatibility of logistics providers.
