The expansion of the existing SCHMIDT silo batteries in Antwerp has recently been finalized. With this expansion, which adds six more 340 m\u00b3 high-capacity silos (approx. 200 tons of material per silo), SCHMIDT Belgium now has a total capacity of 48 silos.<\/p>\n
With this infrastructure, we are well-positioned to efficiently handle significant import flows in Antwerp in the coming years as well.<\/p>\n

Silleno LLP and Karl Schmidt Spedition GmbH & Co (SCHMIDT Group) have signed an EPC contract for the construction of a logistics complex as part of the polyethylene plant project in the Atyrau region. The signing ceremony was attended by Mukhtar Avutbayev, General Director of Silleno LLP, and Thomas Schmidt, CEO of SCHMIDT Group.<\/p>\n
The project will enable the development of one of the largest logistics complexes in Kazakhstan\u2019s oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n
The Silleno logistics complex is designed to handle up to 1.25 million tonnes of polyethylene pellets per year, including packaging, storage, and subsequent shipment to customers. Deliveries will be made to both domestic and export markets via rail and road transport.<\/p>\n

Geopolitical developments in the Middle East have led to an exceptionally sharp rise in diesel prices. Existing index models can only reflect these short-term cost increases with a delay or incompletely.<\/p>\n
Against this backdrop, the management of the SCHMIDT Group has decided to introduce a temporary \u201cEmergency Fuel Surcharge.\u201d The amount of the surcharge will be reviewed weekly and adjusted as necessary. It applies regardless of existing diesel price agreements.<\/p>\n

KG (KSS) Horst Schmidt und der Generaldirektor der Aktiengesellschaft \u00abFreightVillage Kaluga\u00bb (FreightVillageRU) Nikolay Krutschinin die Vereinbarung \u00fcber die Entwicklung eines Chemie-Clusters f\u00fcr die Verarbeitung von Kunststoffen in der Industriezone Kaluga (s\u00fcdwestlich von Moskau) unterzeichnet.<\/p>\n Diese Vereinbarung ist die Fortsetzung des fr\u00fcher unterschriebenen Memorandums \u00fcber die Teilnahme aller Parteien an der Errichtung eines gro\u00dfen Logistikzentrums \u2013 Logistikdrehscheibe. Gem\u00e4\u00df den erzielten Absprachen wird SCHMIDT den HUB auf dem Gel\u00e4nde des Terminals Freight Village Vorsino errichten.<\/p>\n Hintergrund ist u.a. die Distribution der Produktion aus dem sich derzeit im Bau befindlichen SIBUR-Produktionsstandort \u00abZapSibNeftekhim\u00bb in Tobolsk welcher nach seiner Inbetriebnahme eine Jahresproduktion von zwei Mio. Tonnen Polypropylen und Polyethylen haben wird.<\/p>\n Die Vereinbarung beinhaltet alle relevanten Leistungen zum Empfang, zur Verpackung, Lagerung und Verladung der Polymerprodukte an russische und ausl\u00e4ndische Gesch\u00e4ftspartner der Fa. SIBUR \u00fcber einen Zeitraum von 20 Jahren.<\/p>\n Der Transport von den SIBUR-Standorten zum HUB wird im Container mittels Ganzz\u00fcgen erfolgen. Durch die lose Verladung der Produkte in die Container wird eine deutliche Effizienzsteigerung im Vergleich zum herk\u00f6mmlichen Palettentransport erreicht.<\/p>\n Die Gesamtkapazit\u00e4t des HUBs betr\u00e4gt ca. 670 Tsd. Tonnen j\u00e4hrlich. Auf dem Containerterminal mit der Kapazit\u00e4t von 1.300 40-Fuss-Container und im modernisierten Hallenlager wird die gleichzeitige Lagerung von \u00fcber 40 Tsd. Tonnen Polymerprodukte m\u00f6glich sein.<\/p>\n Der Gesamtumfang der Investitionen in das Projekt von Seiten SCHMIDT betr\u00e4gt \u00fcber zwei Milliarden Rubel netto.<\/p>\n Die im Rahmen des Forums unterzeichnete Vereinbarung \u00fcbertr\u00e4gt den Parteien eine Reihe von Initiativen f\u00fcr die Entwicklung des Clusters zur Polymerverarbeitung in Kaluga sowie f\u00fcr die Implementierung moderner Logistik-L\u00f6sungen in unterschiedlichen Bereichen des Kunststoff-Handlings. Vom 9.-12. Mai 2017 fand in M\u00fcnchen die 16. internationale Fachmesse \u201eTransport-Logistic\u201c statt. Sie ging mit einem erneuten Besucher- und Aussteller-Rekord zu Ende.<\/p>\n Laut Messeorganisation reisten 60.726 Besucher aus 123 L\u00e4ndern an. Das entspricht einem Zuwachs von 9,5 % im Vergleich zur letzten Messe 2015. Die Zahl der Aussteller, die aus 62 L\u00e4ndern kamen, erh\u00f6hte sich um 5,4 % auf 2.162. Unter diesen Ausstellern war SCHMIDT zum 6. Mal mit dabei und pr\u00e4sentierte sich mit einem v\u00f6llig neu gestalteten Messestand in Halle B 4.<\/p>\n Hier wurde das umfangreiche Dienstleistungsangebot der SCHMIDT-Gruppe vorgestellt. Mit Flyern, Bannern und Direktansprachen soll neues Fahrpersonal gewonnen und qualifiziert werden.<\/p>\n Berufskraftfahrern bietet SCHMIDT, neben einem fairen Umgang und guten Sozialleistungen, den besten Komfort: Modernstes Equipment mit Top-Ausstattung und komfortabler Kommunikationstechnik. Ferner sind die gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen \u00e4rztlichen Untersuchungen (G25) und Modul-Schulungen kostenfrei. Mit einem innovativen Pr\u00e4miensystem wird gute Arbeit zus\u00e4tzlich belohnt.<\/p>\n Seit 2007 bildet SCHMIDT selbst Berufskraftfahrer aus. W\u00e4hrend der dreij\u00e4hrigen dualen Ausbildungszeit werden die Azubis in der Berufsfachschule, in mehreren innerbetrieblichen Abteilungen sowie im SCHMIDT-eigenen Fahrerschulungszentrum unterrichtet.<\/p>\n Selbst\u00e4ndige Transport-Unternehmer mit eigener Zugmaschine k\u00f6nnen sich bei SCHMIDT als Subunternehmer bewerben. Der Vertrag zum bereits angek\u00fcndigten Bau einer neuen Produktionsanlage (ZapSibNeftekhim) f\u00fcr Polyolefine im russischen Tobolsk ist jetzt besiegelt. Dieses Gro\u00dfobjekt ist ein \u201cGreenfield\u201d-Projekt von SIBUR Holding PJSC, angesiedelt auf der Tobolsker Produktionsst\u00e4tte der Gruppe.<\/p>\n Am SCHMIDT-Firmensitz in Heilbronn\/Deutschland wurde am 6. April 2016 offiziell der EP-SS-Vertrag unterzeichnet.<\/p>\n Die Vereinbarung besteht aus detaillierten technischen Beschaffungs- und Dienstleistungen auf dem SIBUR-Gel\u00e4nde und basiert auf der bereits abgeschlossenen FEED-Studie zur Realisierung einer hochmodernen Logistik-Infrastruktur.<\/p>\n Innerhalb der n\u00e4chsten drei Jahre erfolgt nun der Bau einer Silobatterie mit 45 Silos \u00e0 1.000 m\u00b3, acht Verpackungslinien, eines \u00fcberdachten Lagerkomplexes mit 50.000 m\u00b2 sowie eines Containerterminals mit einer Kapazit\u00e4t von 2.600 TEU, um f\u00fcr den Jahresumschlag von zwei Mio. Tonnen Polypropylen und Polyethylen ger\u00fcstet zu sein.<\/p>\n Dieser neue Vertrag ist ein weiterer Meilenstein in der bereits gut entwickelten Partnerschaft zwischen den beiden Unternehmen \u2013 sowohl in Tobolsk als auch an anderen Produktionsst\u00e4tten in Russland. Das Chemieunternehmen LyondellBasell \u00fcberreichte im M\u00e4rz 2016 den Sicherheitspreis 2015 an das SCHMIDT-Team im Werk Wesseling. Diese Auszeichnung wird allj\u00e4hrlich an den besten Logistik-Dienstleister verliehen, der f\u00fcr LyondellBasell in den Werken Wesseling und H\u00fcrth-Knapsack t\u00e4tig ist. Es ist die Best\u00e4tigung daf\u00fcr, dass es am Standort Wesseling keine Negativereignisse, keine Beanstandungen und seit zw\u00f6lf Jahren keine Arbeitsunf\u00e4lle mit Ausfalltagen gab.<\/p>\n Au\u00dferdem wurde die Innovationskraft in Sachen Arbeitssicherheit sowie die vorbildliche Umsetzung der LyondellBasell Sicherheitskultur herausgehoben. Nach erfolgreicher Zertifizierung ist SCHMIDT seit 8. Januar 2016 im Besitz des AEO-Zertifikats (AEO = Authorized Economic Operator) und gilt damit als \u201cZugelassener Wirtschaftsbeteiligter\u201d. F\u00fcr Inhaber dieses AEO-Zertifikats werden bestimmte zollrechtliche Vorg\u00e4nge enorm vereinfacht. Als weltweit t\u00e4tiges Unternehmen kann SCHMIDT nun Zoll-Gesch\u00e4fte in anderen Mitgliedsstaaten schneller abwickeln.<\/p>\n Der Grund: \u00dcbereinstimmende Bedingungen, die von der Zollbeh\u00f6rde schon im Vorfeld als AEO-Bewilligungskriterien abgekl\u00e4rt wurden, m\u00fcssen zur Risiko- und Sicherheitsbewertung nicht erneut gepr\u00fcft werden. Der Status des \u201cZugelassenen Wirtschaftsbeteiligten\u201d soll zuk\u00fcnftig auch \u00fcber die Grenzen der Europ\u00e4ischen Union hinaus anerkannt werden. Abkommen bestehen derzeit mit der Schweiz, Norwegen, Japan, USA und China.<\/p>\n Hier geht es zum AEO-Zertifikat<\/a> Aufgrund der angek\u00fcndigten Einstellung des Euteltracs-Dienstes zum Jahreswechsel 2015\/2016 musste die Fahrzeugflotte der SCHMIDT-Gruppe mit einem neuen Telematiksystem ausger\u00fcstet werden. Die Wahl fiel dabei auf den Anbieter Astrata, dem Nachfolger der ehemaligen Euteltracs-Anbieter Alcatel, Qualcomm und OmniTracs, wodurch die langj\u00e4hrige gute Zusammenarbeit im Bereich Telematiksysteme fortgesetzt werden kann.<\/p>\n In einem Zeitraum von sieben Monaten wurden bereits mehr als 610 Fahrzeuge in den SCHMIDT-eigenen Betriebswerkst\u00e4tten auf dieses neue Telematiksystem umger\u00fcstet. Gegen\u00fcber seinem Vorg\u00e4nger ist es wesentlich moderner und bringt zahlreiche Neuerungen und Vorteile mit. Die Integration des neuen Telematiksystems in die SCHMIDT-Speditionssoftware TMS erfolgte reibungslos.<\/p>\n Wesentliche Neuerung ist das herausnehmbare Bedienteil DriverLinc+ auf Tablet-Basis mit integriertem Navigationssystem. Es dient zum Nachrichtenaustausch mit der Disposition, zeigt die Daten vom digitalen Tachographen grafisch aufbereitet an und beinhaltet Fahrassistenzsysteme. Jeder Fahrer kann seine Spracheinstellungen individuell hinterlegen.<\/p>\n Weitere Funktionsverbesserungen, wie ferngesteuertes Auslesen von Tachographen- und Massenspeicherdaten, Scannen bzw. Fotografieren von CMR-Frachtbriefen sowie einem digitalen Fahrerhandbuch als Applikation auf dem Bedienteil, sind aktuell in Vorbereitung. \nEnde Mai 2015 erfolgte der Spatenstich f\u00fcr einen neuen Standort der SCHMIDT-Gruppe in der Industriezone \u201eKIZAD\u201c Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi. Auf einer Fl\u00e4che von rund 21.000 m\u00b2 sollen ab Ende August 2015 die Bauarbeiten f\u00fcr den ersten operativen SCHMIDT-Standort in der Region Abu Dhabi begonnen werden. Eine Lagerhalle mit rund 1.500 m\u00b2, eine Siloanlage mit neun Silos, eine Kippb\u00fchne, eine Verpackungslinie sowie dazugeh\u00f6rende B\u00fcros und Sozialr\u00e4ume werden dort gebaut. Die Inbetriebnahme ist bereits f\u00fcr April 2016 vorgesehen und bietet dann \u2013 neben dem in Bahrain geplanten Standort \u2013 eine weitere M\u00f6glichkeit, den Kunden die komplette SCHMIDT-Servicepalette inklusive Sch\u00fcttguttransporte anzubieten.<\/p>\n
\nIm Auftrag der ADT (Abu Dhabi Terminals \u2013 staatliches Gemeinschaftsunternehmen von ADPC und Mubadala) hat SCHMIDT Middle East die Planung und Bau\u00fcberwachung einer Abf\u00fcllanlage von Kunststoffgranulaten erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Die Gesamtkapazit\u00e4t dieser Anlage liegt bei 150.000 to pro Jahr. Je nach Kundenwunsch k\u00f6nnen hier die Granulate \u00fcber drei Absacklinien und vier Kippvorrichtungen nun in 25 kg-S\u00e4cke, Big Bags oder Oktabins umgef\u00fcllt werden. Bis zur Weiterverladung kann die verpackte Ware in eigens daf\u00fcr vorgesehenen Lagerhallen zwischengelagert werden.
